These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Star Auth authentication service ("Service"), operated at auth.starhk.uk and related domains. By signing in, signing up, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Star Auth provides centralized identity and authentication for participating websites and applications ("Sites") in the StarHK ecosystem. The Service may include sign-in with Google, email verification codes, session management, and related features made available to Site operators and their end users.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of access to your email accounts and devices used to receive verification codes. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify the Site operator or us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We and participating Site operators may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or poses a security risk.
Sign-in with Google and other third-party identity providers are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those features is also governed by the applicable provider agreements.
When you authenticate through Star Auth, you are typically accessing a specific Site identified in the login flow. That Site's terms, privacy policy, and practices apply to your use of the Site itself. Star Auth processes authentication on behalf of Site operators as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its software, branding, and documentation, is owned by StarHK or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks except as necessary to use the Service as intended.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARHK AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or participating Sites. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply.
